Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTERRoumari, KurigramHospital contacts
Background

Mahadi Hasan is a cheerful and active 3-year-old boy who was previously well before developing fever, cold, cough, and breathing difficulties for five days. He lives with his parents, two older siblings, and a younger sister in a six-member family, while his father, Mahfuzul Hoque (42), is the sole earner, working as an agricultural day laborer and earning only about USD 49 per month when work is available. With this limited income and their difficult living conditions in a tin-shade house with a mud floor, the family struggles to meet daily needs and cannot afford Mahadi’s medical expenses. As his condition worsened, he was brought for medical evaluation and diagnosed with typhoid fever and urinary tract infection (UTI), and the family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital. Without timely treatment, the infections may worsen and lead to dehydration, systemic infection, sepsis, and other potentially life-threatening complications.

Medical history

Mahadi Hasan was admitted to the hospital on 28 July 2026 after suffering from fever, cold, cough, and breathing difficulties for five days. As his condition worsened, he became weak and uncomfortable. After medical examination and necessary tests, doctors diagnosed him with Typhoid Fever and Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). He received proper medical treatment, medications, and close monitoring under the care of the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Mahadi’s condition gradually improved over the following days. His fever and other symptoms started to reduce, and he responded well to the treatment. He was discharged from the hospital on 2 August 2026 in stable condition. Mahadi’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their kind support and compassionate care, which played an important role in his recovery.

Prognosis

Timely treatment with appropriate antibiotics, supportive care, and close medical monitoring is expected to control Mahadi’s typhoid fever and UTI, improve his fever and weakness, and support a gradual return to normal activities. With proper treatment and follow-up, he is expected to recover and reduce the risk of recurrent or progressive infection. If left untreated, the infections may worsen and spread, leading to severe dehydration, persistent fever, kidney or urinary complications, bloodstream infection, sepsis, and other potentially life-threatening complications.
