Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Partho Biswas is a cheerful and active 7.5-month-old boy who lives with his parents, 5-year-old sibling, and extended family in a nine-member household. His father is the primary earner, working as a day labourer and earning approximately USD 57 per month, while the family depends on this limited income to support several household members and cannot afford Partho’s hospital treatment. Partho developed high-grade fever, cough, cold, vomiting, and severe respiratory distress and was admitted to Seba Hospital, where he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and required hospitalization and close monitoring. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dipali, a hospital staff member, and is seeking support because of their financial hardship. Without timely treatment, severe pneumonia may worsen rapidly, causing dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, severe infection, and potentially life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctors, hospitalization, close monitoring, and conservative and supportive therapy are recommended to manage Partha Biswas’s severe pneumonia. With timely treatment and close monitoring, his respiratory distress and lung infection are expected to improve, helping him recover safely and return to normal activities. If left untreated, severe pneumonia may progress to worsening respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and other serious complications. Therefore, timely hospital-based treatment is essential for Partha’s recovery and survival.
