Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Abu Hujaifa is a 21-month-old child who was admitted to Seba Hospital with high-grade fever, cough, severe respiratory distress, and nasal blockage and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. His father, Abdul Malik (50), is a mosque imam and the sole income earner, earning approximately BDT 5,000 (around USD 41) per month, while his mother, Rima Akter (32), is a homemaker and his three siblings and elderly grandmother depend on the same limited income. The family struggles to meet their basic needs and cannot afford the hospitalization, medicines, investigations, and supportive care required for Abu Hujaifa’s treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Redwan Hussen Shiplu and sought assistance for his treatment. Without timely treatment, severe pneumonia can rapidly worsen, causing respiratory failure, dangerously low oxygen levels, sepsis, and potentially life-threatening complications.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctors, hospitalization, parenteral antibiotics, nebulization, and other supportive therapy are recommended to manage Abu Hujaifa’s severe pneumonia. With timely treatment and close monitoring, his respiratory distress and infection are expected to improve, helping him recover safely. If left untreated, severe pneumonia may progress to worsening respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and other serious complications. Therefore, timely hospital-based treatment and close monitoring are essential for Abu Hujaifa’s recovery.
