Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

A 6-month-old baby girl depends entirely on her family for care and protection. Her father works as a furniture varnishing worker, earning approximately USD 57 per month, while her mother, aged 17, cares for her with support from her maternal grandmother; the family’s limited income makes it difficult to meet basic needs and afford urgent medical expenses. They learned about Helpster Charity through a volunteer and sought assistance after the baby developed fever, cough, and cold for five days, followed by worsening breathing difficulty; she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia, with an oxygen saturation of only 89%. Her high fever, rapid breathing, and low oxygen level indicate a serious condition requiring urgent treatment and close monitoring. Without timely medical care, her condition could deteriorate into respiratory failure, dangerously low oxygen levels, and other potentially life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor, urgent hospitalization, appropriate medical treatment, supportive care, and close monitoring are necessary to manage severe pneumonia. With timely treatment, the infant’s respiratory condition and oxygen levels may improve, supporting recovery and reducing the risk of complications. If left untreated, severe pneumonia may progress to dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and severe systemic infection (sepsis), which can be life-threatening. Prompt medical intervention is essential to stabilize the infant’s condition and improve the chance of recovery.
