Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Emmanuel is a respectful, responsible and hardworking 11-year-old boy who lives with his grandmother in a rural village. She relies on small-scale farming, earning too little to consistently meet their basic needs and medical expenses. His mother brought him to hospital after two days of frequent watery diarrhoea containing mucus and traces of blood, persistent vomiting, dizziness, joint pain, poor appetite, headache and general weakness. He was unable to keep down food or drinks. Following clinical examination and laboratory investigations, Emmanuel was diagnosed with severe malaria, gastroenteritis, anaemia and dehydration. He was admitted for treatment, further investigations and close monitoring. His grandmother’s limited income makes the cost of his medical care difficult to afford.

Prognosis

Emmanuel, an 11-year-old boy, is suffering from severe malaria, gastroenteritis, anaemia, and dehydration. His condition requires urgent medical attention, including appropriate antimalarial treatment, rehydration, management of gastroenteritis, and treatment of anaemia. With timely and proper medical care, close monitoring, and adequate nutritional support, his chances of recovery are good
