Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Khalid is a 5-year-old boy who loves going to church, praying, and pretending to be a pastor. He is in Nursery 2 and dreams of becoming a pastor when he grows up. Khalid lives with his parents and four siblings, but two of his siblings have recently stopped attending school because the family can no longer afford to send all five children to school. Khalid has an ongoing eye condition similar to the one experienced by both his parents. Since his birth, his parents have noticed the same problem developing in him, but they have been unable to take him to a hospital because of financial constraints. They have tried medication without improvement, leaving him without proper medical assessment or treatment.

Prognosis

The prognosis for bilateral familial pediatric cataracts is generally favorable. Because the condition affects both eyes, the risk of severe deprivation amblyopia caused by interocular competition is lower. If left untreated, the consequences for the child's vision and overall development are severe and permanent, including full blindness.
