Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
The patient is a 22-month-old boy from Tarasoi village in Habiganj who lives with his parents, his older brother, who studies in class two, and his 58-year-old grandmother. His father works as a day labourer, earning approximately USD 81 per month, which is barely enough to cover the family's basic needs, leaving them unable to afford the substantial expenses of intensive hospital care. After experiencing recurring fever, cold, cough, and two seizures over a month, the child developed painful urination and severe breathing difficulties, prompting his admission to Olympus Hospital on 30 September 2026. He was diagnosed with post-measles pneumonia, a suspected urinary tract infection, and pancytopenia, with his oxygen saturation falling to 78%, requiring urgent PICU admission, oxygen support, nebulization, and intravenous antibiotics; the family learned about Helpster Charity through the hospital's head. Without timely and continued treatment, the child could develop worsening respiratory failure, severe infection, or other life-threatening complications, putting his life at serious risk.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, the child requires immediate PICU admission with oxygen support, intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive treatment to manage post-measles pneumonia with respiratory distress, suspected urinary tract infection, and fever. Timely treatment is essential to control the infections, improve breathing and oxygenation, and prevent further deterioration. If left untreated, respiratory distress may progress to respiratory failure, while severe infection and associated complications could become life-threatening. Close monitoring in the PICU is necessary to assess the child's response to treatment and determine when transfer to the general ward is safe.
