Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Moshiur Rahman is a 10-year-old Class 4 student who enjoys playing with his classmates and dreams of continuing his education despite his family’s difficult circumstances. After his father passed away in 2023, he began living with his mother, younger brother, and grandparents, while his maternal uncle works as a carpenter and earns approximately USD 57 per month to support the six-member household living in a modest tin-roofed house with a mud floor. The family cannot afford the necessary medical expenses because their limited income must cover the basic needs of all family members. They learned about Helpster Charity through a previous beneficiary and sought assistance after the boy sustained a left ulna fracture from a fall at school, with persistent pain and swelling despite initial treatment at a local pharmacy. Without appropriate treatment, the fracture may heal improperly, causing persistent pain, restricted arm movement, and long-term functional impairment.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctors, hospitalization with a long-arm back slab, conservative treatment, and close monitoring is recommended to manage the patient's left-sided ulna fracture. With proper immobilization and follow-up, the bone is expected to heal, helping reduce pain and swelling and restore normal arm movement. If treatment is delayed or the fracture is not properly managed, the bone may heal incorrectly, causing persistent pain, limited movement, or impaired arm function. Timely treatment is important to support proper healing and help the patient return to his normal daily activities.
