Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
The patient is a 10-year-old girl studying in Class 2 who lives with her parents and two sisters, one of whom is in Class 10 and the younger one in Class 1. Her father is the family’s sole earning member and works as a day labourer, earning approximately USD 65–73 per month, while her mother is a homemaker, making it difficult for the family to cover basic necessities, education costs, and hospital expenses. During a seasonal outbreak in an area where shared toilets and limited access to safe drinking water create hygiene challenges, she developed a high fever and severe cough and was diagnosed with typhoid fever after hospital assessment. With such limited income, her family struggles to afford the treatment she needs. Without timely and appropriate treatment, typhoid fever may cause intestinal bleeding or perforation, severe infection, and potentially life-threatening complications.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctors, parenteral antibiotic therapy and supportive care are necessary to manage the child’s typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever and other symptoms are expected to improve, helping her regain strength and gradually return to school and daily activities. Without appropriate treatment, typhoid fever may progress and cause serious complications, including intestinal bleeding, intestinal perforation, and bloodstream infection, which can become life-threatening. Prompt medical intervention is essential to control the infection, reduce the risk of complications, and support her recovery.
