Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTERRoumari, KurigramHospital contacts
Background

The patient is an 11-month-old boy who lives with his parents, elder brother, and elder sister in a five-member family in a modest tin-roofed house with a mud floor. His father is the sole earning member and works as an agricultural day labourer, earning approximately USD 65 per month, which is insufficient to cover the family’s basic needs and medical expenses. The child developed fever, cold, cough, and breathing difficulties over three days, and after medical assessment and investigations, he was diagnosed with typhoid fever and required treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member at a government hospital but cannot afford the necessary medical care on their limited income. Without timely and appropriate treatment, typhoid fever may lead to severe infection, intestinal bleeding or perforation, and potentially life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctors, appropriate antibiotic therapy, fever management, supportive care, and close monitoring are important to manage the child’s typhoid fever and support recovery. With timely treatment, his fever and weakness may improve, helping him gradually regain his strength and normal activity. Close medical observation is essential to identify any deterioration and manage complications promptly. Without appropriate treatment, typhoid fever may progress to severe illness, intestinal bleeding or perforation, and other potentially life-threatening complications, particularly in a young child.
