Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTERRoumari, KurigramHospital contacts
Background

The patient is a 12-year-old Class 6 student who lives with his parents, younger sister, and elderly grandmother in a small tin-shade house with a mud floor. His father is the family's sole breadwinner, working as an agricultural day labourer and earning approximately USD 57 per month, which is insufficient to cover the family's basic needs and essential medical expenses. Despite their financial hardship, his mother manages the household and cares for the family while he continues his education. After suffering from fever, cold, and cough for four days, he was diagnosed with typhoid fever and a urinary tract infection (UTI), requiring timely treatment to prevent serious complications, including severe infection and kidney damage. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital and needs financial assistance to ensure he receives appropriate treatment and can return to his studies.

Prognosis

With timely administration of appropriate antibiotics and supportive treatment, the patient's typhoid fever and urinary tract infection (UTI) are expected to improve, reducing fever and other symptoms. Proper medical care can restore his strength and help him return to his normal activities, including attending school. With adequate treatment and monitoring, the likelihood of recovery is good. Without treatment, the infections may worsen and cause dehydration, kidney complications, or severe systemic infection, potentially threatening his overall health.
