Phoebe resides in rural areas with her economically disadvantaged parents. Despite their financial struggles, Phoebe finds solace in listening to gospel music and guiding Sunday school children. Her ideal meal, roasted chicken, yogurt, and chips, is a rare luxury due to the family's financial constraints. Despite the odds, Phoebe aspires to become a teacher in the future. Recently, Phoebe's health took a turn for the worse. For over a week, she has been suffering from widespread itchy rashes, accompanied by a cough and chest pains that worsen with each coughing fit. The persistent cough has made it difficult for Phoebe to eat. With no financial means to seek medical care, Phoebe's family received a glimmer of hope when her teacher informed them about the Helpster Charity. Promptly, Phoebe's mother brought her to the hospital for assistance.

Phoebe was diagnosed with pneumonia and mycosis. She was treated in the outpatient department with antibiotics and, antihistamines and antifungal drugs. Two weeks later she came for follow up on the scheduled date which she was really recovering very well. Her guardian was very happy and greatful to Helpster Charity for considering their request in saving their daughters life. Phoebe is now happy and strong again to continue with her school routine activities without any discomfort.

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications. For the treatment of mycosis, the antifungal medications may be prescribed. These can be topical (applied directly to the affected area) or systemic (taken orally or intravenously to treat infections that have spread internally). Antifungal drugs work by targeting the fungal cell wall or interfering with fungal cell metabolism.
