The child's mother reported that the child had very high fevers, had refused to breast feed and had several episodes of convulsions. She had been ill for some time and the parent did not have any money to take her to the hospital. By the time she was brought to the hospital, Victory's mother seems to have lost all hope that her child will ever survive since her urine output had also reduced.

The child's mother reported that her child had extremely high fevers, refused to breastfeed, and experienced multiple episodes of convulsions. The child had been unwell for a while, but the family lacked the financial means to seek medical care. By the time they arrived at the hospital, Victory's mother had seemingly lost hope of her child's survival, as the child's urine output had significantly decreased. What initially began as a simple cough had worsened into a life-threatening condition, slowly draining Victory’s strength. She was diagnosed with sepsis, severe pneumonia, and acute kidney injury. In critical condition upon arrival, she was admitted to the high dependency unit due to her failing kidneys. She was placed on medication and closely monitored until her condition stabilized. After recovering and being deemed out of danger, Victory was discharged from the hospital.

Severe pneumonia with sepsis. Given intravenous fluids of 1/2normal saline, Intravenous antibiotic for 14 days and anticonutrant. Baby was fed with NGT. The treatment will really impact on the child life with currative results leading to child good health.
