Mahfuza K., 23

Mahfuza is a cheerful 23 old woman, despite all the hardships she comes across. Mahfuza lives with her husband and her son in a tin shed house in the rural area. Mahfuza wanted to become a Medical Assistant, but due to the poverty and her marriage she had to stop her studies. Now Mahfuza is pregnant and suffers from Amniotic fluid leakage. Mahfuza needs to undergo Cesarean Section to safely deliver her baby. Mahfuza and her family have no chance in a government hospital as the hospital is over 200km from them and lacks medicines. Mahfuza was happy to know about Helpster Charity and RUDO Hospital partnership. Mahfuza is asking Helpster Heroes for help!

Mahfuza had previously had her first child through a cesarean section. This is her second cesarean section. Mahfuza was physically weak and too afraid to have a normal delivery, so she under went a second cesarean section. The Surgeon took about 110 minutes. It was done through a spinal block. A catheter was used to drain urine, and the skin of the abdomen was cleaned with antiseptic. After the same surgery on the uterus, the baby was taken out, and the skin was stitched together. The operation went well without complications. Mahfuza and her baby are healthy after the operation. Now Mahfuza and her family are very happy! Caesarean Section is a surgical procedure in which a baby is born through a cut made in the mother's abdominal wall and uterus. A caesarean may be recommended as a planned (elective) procedure or done in an emergency if it is thought a vaginal birth is too risky.
