Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Valentine was abandoned by her parents. A good samaritan picked her near the market where she had been abandoned in the wee hours of the night. The matter is currently under investigation with the police and her mother, who has since been traced, and is not willing to live with her. She was brought to the hospital with a history of a productive cough, and diarrhoea for the past 3 days.
Medical history
Valentine was treated as an in-patient and responded well to the treatment. She has been unwell for the three days, with a productive cough and passing loose stool. She was dehydrated due to the diarrhoea and laboratory tests were done to confirm the diagnosis. She got well and was discharged to continue taking oral medication at home.
Outcome
Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
