Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Oluwasemilore is a 12-year-old child who is the second of four siblings in his family. About 6 months ago, he noticed a swelling in his groin. This swelling sometimes causes him pain.

Medical history

Oluwasemilore was admitted for hydrocele surgery, which was performed successfully without any complications. He responded well to both the surgery and post-operative care. After a thorough review and recovery, he was discharged home. Currently, he is doing much better, with the swelling gone and no discomfort.

Outcome

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
