Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Bokoli Sub-County Hospital, Sikata - Kimilili Rd, Bokoli

Background

Joyline comes from a humble background. She likes to have fun in every situation and loves to sing and dance. She would like to be a doctor when she grows up and therefore takes her education very seriously. She was brought to the hospital with complains of a severe cough and nasal congestion.

Medical history

Joyline was brought to the hospital with complains of a severe cough and nasal congestion. She was diagnosed of Severe Pneumonia which had spread to both lungs and had to be treated urgently with IV antibiotics. The patient responded well to the medication and is stable now.

Outcome

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
