Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Muhammad is a 4-years old boy from a peasant home, who is friendly, joyful and loves eating. About 6 months ago he developed an umbilical swelling associated with pains due to occasional obstruction.
Medical history
Muhammad was diagnosed with a symptomatic umbilical hernia and was admitted for surgery on December 6, 2023. The surgery and post-operative treatment were successful, with no complications. His condition improved significantly after the surgery, and he was discharged on December 10, 2023. Muhammad is now doing great and playing with other kids.
Outcome
Without intervention, the hernia may continue to grow in size, causing increased discomfort, pain, and a noticeable bulge at the umbilicus. In severe cases, the protruding tissue can become trapped or strangulated, which is a medical emergency. Strangulation occurs when the blood supply to the herniated tissue is compromised, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and possible tissue damage or necrosis. Prompt surgical repair is typically recommended for umbilical hernias to prevent these complications and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected individual.
