Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Aisha is a cheerful 18-year-old who enjoys reading Hausa novels. She got married when she was 16 and is now pregnant for the first time. Even before she got married, Aisha had been dealing with a long-term condition called pelvic inflammatory disease. Recently, she started having stomach pain all over, vomiting, and unusual bleeding from her vagina for three days. After some initial medical checks, like a scan of her abdomen and pelvis, doctors found out that she has an ectopic pregnancy, where the pregnancy is not in the usual place.
Medical history
Aisha was admitted for an emergency laparotomy due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and successfully operated on December 25, 2023. She is now doing much better.
Outcome
Ectopic pregnancy requires prompt treatment due to the risks it poses. In cases where the ectopic pregnancy is more advanced, or there's a risk of rupture (which can cause severe bleeding), surgery is necessary. The most common surgical procedure is laparoscopy, a minimally invasive surgery.
