Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

Background
Annur is an 11-year old boy from a poor home, who is cheerful and loves to play with toys and cats. He developed a supra-umbilical swelling which usually reduces by itself but gets obstructed intermittently. There is mild-moderate pain especially when the swelling gets obstructed without relief.
Medical history
Annur underwent successful surgery for a supraumbilical hernia with mild obstruction on January 12, 2024. Without experiencing any side effects, he was discharged on January 14, 2024. Since then, Annur has been enjoying an improved quality of life, free from swelling, discomfort, or pain that could disrupt his daily activities. He happily engages in playtime with his toys and friends.
Outcome
Without intervention, the hernia may continue to grow in size, causing increased discomfort, pain, and a noticeable bulge above the umbilicus. In severe cases, the protruding tissue can become trapped or strangulated, which is a medical emergency. Strangulation occurs when the blood supply to the herniated tissue is compromised, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and possible tissue damage or necrosis. Prompt surgical repair is typically recommended for supra umbilical hernia to prevent these complications and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected individual.
