Ayuba S., 20

Ayuba is a 20-year-old young man whose parent is a pensioner. He's a bit shy but has a passion for music and dancing. When he thinks about his future, he dreams of becoming an accountant. But about 10 months ago, he began to feel pain in his right side, lower back, and had difficulty urinating. He went to different healthcare places, and they found out he had a kidney stone in his right kidney. Sadly, he didn't have enough money to pay for the medical bills. Now, Ayuba is waiting for treatment to remove the kidney stone and get better.

Ayuba Sadiq had a large, persistent kidney stone causing significant pain. The stone could only be removed through a surgical procedure called nephrolithotomy. He was admitted for the surgery on March 1, 2024. The surgery was successful, and he was discharged on March 5, 2024. Both Ayuba and the UMD Medical Clinic are pleased with the outcome, as the surgery was successful and Ayuba is now pain-free and in good health.

Larger stones might require more extensive treatment like using sound waves to break up the stone (lithotripsy), surgery to remove very large stones, or using a scope passed through the bladder to remove smaller stones. Kidney stones can cause excruciating pain as they move through the urinary tract. If left untreated, the stone may continue to pass or become lodged in a position that causes persistent, severe pain.
