Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Bilkisu is an 18year old girl from a poor home. She is cheerful and likes to assist her mother with house chores. She dreams to become a health care worker in the future. About 2 weeks ago she developed abdominal pain and right iliac fossa pain with preceding history of vomiting, fever and diarrhea. This morning, the pain got worse, and she was brought to this facility for treatment. Diagnosis of acute appendicitis was made.
Medical history
She was evaluated for emergency surgery on account Ruptured Appendix on the 22nd January, 2024.She had a successful surgery, Post operative treatment rendered and she was discharged home on 26th January,2024.
Outcome
If appendicitis is not treated, it can lead to serious complications, the most severe being a ruptured appendix. When the appendix ruptures, it releases bacteria into the abdomen, potentially leading to a serious infection called peritonitis, which can be life-threatening. An abscess, which is a pocket of infection, may also form. Treatment for appendicitis usually involves surgery to remove the appendix, a procedure known as an appendectomy.
