Tifaa A., 1

Tifaa lives with her parents and elder sibling. On the day she was brought to the hospital, her mother had noticed that the child was very restless, was sweating alot and had a fever. Tifaa's mother works as a manual laborer in town and on that day, she decided to bring Tifaa to the hospital rather than go work. She had noticed that Tifaa had lost weight over time and her skin also appeared to be very pale

Tifaa was diagnosed with severe malnutrition, severe malaria, severe anaemia and septicaemia. She was managed as an inpatient for 10 days, during which the doctors and other health care workers ensured that all the four conditions that Tifaa was diagnosed with were being well managed. The nutritionist ensured that she received meals according to the regimen that she had planned so that Tifaa's weight will be at the required level, and thus have a strong immunity. She was transfused twice in the course of the 10days and was put on strong antibiotics for the septicaemia She progressed slowly but eventually got well and was discharged

the baby come experiencing various symptoms, she had yellow eyed, paleness, fever, headache and restless. She was suffering from severe anaemia and malnutrition and alot has to be done before her health is restored. With appropriate medication and care, she will get better
