Usman is a forty-day-old baby, the youngest of Mrs. Zainab's seven children, in a family of fifteen. His father, a bricklayer, believes that if God brings a child into the world, He will provide for him. Usman was well until three days ago when he developed a high temperature, body pains, abdominal pain, cough, and catarrh. His parents, being poor and internally displaced, are unable to afford his medical bills.

Usman Ali, a young baby diagnosed with Malaria, Enteric fever, and an Upper respiratory tract infection, has successfully undergone treatment with notable improvement. After receiving appropriate medical care and interventions, Usman’s condition significantly improved, allowing him to return to his normal activities and resume a healthy, playful routine. The treatment process was closely monitored by healthcare professionals, ensuring effective management of the infections and a swift recovery. His parent expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Helpster charity, stating, “We are so thankful for the help we received; without it, Usman’s recovery might have been difficult. Helpster made a big difference in our lives.”

Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. If an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is not treated, it can weaken the immune system and the body's natural defenses. This can make it easier for other infections, such as bacterial sinusitis or ear infections, to develop as secondary complications. If the URTI is caused by a contagious virus (e.g., the common cold or influenza), untreated individuals can continue to spread the infection to others, potentially leading to outbreaks in close-contact settings like schools or workplaces.
