Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Shamya, a spirited six-year-old, lives in the slums of Narayanganj with her mother, Shima, and older brother. A first-grade student, Shamya loves playing football with her friends. Shima, the family's main caregiver, works as a nurse twenty-five days a month. With her earnings, the family struggles to meet basic needs, including food, rent, and electricity, as well as covering the medical expenses for her children. Shamya has Chronic Recurrent Tonsillitis and needs a tonsillectomy for treatment. Faced with her daughter's health challenges and financial constraints, Shima reaches out to Helpster Heroes for assistance. She seeks a brighter future for Shamya and hopes to avoid the family falling into debt.

Medical history

Shyama was diagnosed with Chronic Tonsillitis, and her tonsils were enlarged and congested. She experienced a severe sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and occasional shortness of breath. Despite repeated antibiotic treatments, her condition continued to worsen daily, making tonsillectomy surgery the only viable option. Dr. Khorshed Alam, an ENT specialist, performed the surgery with all aseptic precautions under general anesthesia. Both tonsils were successfully removed without complications. Now, Shyama is doing well and back to her normal life. Her family is overjoyed to have her safe and sound. A big thank you to the Helpster Heroes and the Narayanganj Polyclinic Team! Shima: "No words can express how grateful I am to Helpster Charity and Dr.Khorshed and all the health workers of Narayanganj Polyclinic. My daughter feels much better, gained the weight a bit, is playful and cheerful again. I don't need to take loans as the financial situation is really hard in my family now. Thank you Helpster Heroes! Dhonnobad!"

Outcome

The patient frequently suffers from coughs, colds, sore throats, and fevers, and sometimes has difficulty breathing. The patient's swollen tonsils and adenoids are causing significant issues. Without surgery to remove them, known as adenotonsillectomy, the patient risks developing severe respiratory infections that could lead to long-term health complications.
