Suwaiba L., 14

Suiba Lawan is a sixteen-year-old girl and the fifth child among eighteen siblings. She is currently studying science in Senior Secondary School at an orphanage school. Suiba aspires to become a doctor someday to help her family and the Muslim community. She was apparently well until five days before her presentation when she developed fever, headache, cough, and dizziness, accompanied by difficulty in breathing.

Suwaiba Lawan, a young and vibrant girl, was diagnosed with Malaria, Enteric Fever, and an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, which left her feeling weak and unable to carry out her daily activities. The medical team quickly started treatment, administering the necessary drugs to combat the multiple infections. The treatment included antimalarial medication, antibiotics for the enteric fever, and supportive care for the respiratory infection. Thanks to the timely and effective treatment, Suwaiba responded well to the medication, and her condition steadily improved. Within a few days, her fever subsided, and her breathing became easier, allowing her to regain her strength. Now, Suwaiba is fully recovered and has happily returned to her normal activities, playing and learning just like before. Her parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude, for the timely intervention of Helpster Charitysaying, "We are so thankful to Helpster charity for helping our daughter get well. Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. If an upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is not treated, it can weaken the immune system and the body's natural defenses. This can make it easier for other infections, such as bacterial sinusitis or ear infections, to develop as secondary complications. If the URTI is caused by a contagious virus (e.g., the common cold or influenza), untreated individuals can continue to spread the infection to others, potentially leading to outbreaks in close-contact settings like schools or workplaces.
