Abigael dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up. She enjoys playing hide-and-seek, singing, and dancing, and has a particular fondness for ice cream. For the past two weeks, Abigael has been experiencing a runny nose accompanied by a low-grade fever. She has also suffered from pain when swallowing and has developed a persistent cough. Despite receiving treatment at a local dispensary, her symptoms showed little improvement. The situation escalated the day before her hospital visit, as her cough worsened, and she experienced increased pain when swallowing and difficulty breathing.

Abigael ngima was brought into our emergency department with complaints of persistent cough, running nose, difficult in breathing and pain on swallowing. The mother explained her situation and ask for help from helpster Charity as she was told by her friend and Immediately after the parents signed helpster Charity consent form the child was was cannulated and start medicine administered via intravenous route. Gentamicin, penicillin and gacet as start dose, and paracetamol to reduce the fevers. The child was observed for four hours in the hospital and the condition subsides and the child was discharged with oral antibiotics and analgesic and was given instructions on the return if the condition reoccur. Two weeks later Abigail was brought for check up which shows that, she is completely healed and she was able to return to her normal daily activities without any discomfort and the parents were very happy for the treatment.

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications. Enlarged tonsils can trap bacteria and viruses, leading to recurrent throat and ear infections. These infections can cause discomfort, pain, and may require repeated courses of antibiotics. An adenotonsillectomy is a medical procedure in which both the adenoids and tonsils are surgically removed. The adenoids are small glands located at the back of the throat, while the tonsils are situated on either side of the throat.
