Ibrahim is a joyful seven-year-old boy from a financially disadvantaged family. He loves riding his bicycle and playing with friends, and he dreams of becoming an entrepreneur in the future. Approximately three years after his birth, Ibrahim developed an umbilical bulge that persisted for more than three years without reducing. He frequently experiences localized pain around the umbilicus, accompanied by episodes of vomiting. Upon examination, he was diagnosed with a symptomatic umbilical hernia. A repair surgery has been planned, pending approval from the Helpster charity.

Ibrahim was thoroughly evacuated and admitted for surgery on 26 April 2025 on account of umbilical hernia surgery was conducted successfully. And being discharged on 28 April 2025. The family were thankful to Helpster Charity for the free treatment of their child.

Without intervention, the hernia may continue to grow in size, causing increased discomfort, pain, and a noticeable bulge at the umbilicus. In severe cases, the protruding tissue can become trapped or strangulated, which is a medical emergency. Strangulation occurs when the blood supply to the herniated tissue is compromised, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and possible tissue damage or necrosis. Prompt surgical repair is typically recommended for umbilical hernias to prevent these complications and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected individual.
