Ibrahim, a cheerful teenager from a financially disadvantaged family, is outgoing and enjoys music and playing soccer. He harbors dreams of becoming an international footballer in the future. About two years ago, Ibrahim was in good health when he was noticed to have developed unusual, reducible scrotal swelling, accompanied by mild pain, discomfort, and a feeling of heaviness. However, a few days ago, the pain worsened in his groin, causing him distress. Seeking treatment, he presented to the facility. During the physical examination, Ibrahim was found to be in painful distress. Following an ultrasound scan, he was diagnosed with bilateral inguinal hernia. Surgery is required to rectify the issue and alleviate his pain

Ibrahim was evaluate dand diagnosed with Hernia that requires surgical correction. Under Helpster approval, he was admitted and surgery successfully done with no complications. He was discharged on the 28th of April 2025. Parents were happy as their child no longer will suffer from the discomfort and pain from the swelling. They are thankful to Helpster Charity.

If left untreated, inguinal hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for inguinal hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
