Musa is a seventeen-year-old teenager from a financially struggling family background. His father works as a Mortuary attendant and earns less than the minimum wage. Musa finds solace in reading Hausa novels and playing tennis, nurturing dreams of becoming a military personnel in the future. About two years ago, Musa's health took a turn when he noticed scrotal swelling that failed to subside. This swelling was accompanied by intermittent pain, discomfort, and a feeling of heaviness. Seeking treatment, he visited a facility where he was initially diagnosed. However, due to the family's financial constraints, they were unable to afford the cost of treatment. Consequently, Musa has been managing the condition at home until a few days ago, when a friend of their neighbor informed them about Helpster charity at UMD clinic. Upon presentation at the clinic, Musa underwent examination and investigation, resulting in a diagnosis of Hydrocele. Surgery is necessary to repair the defect and improve his quality of life.

Musa is an 17-year-old boy that was evaluated and diagnosed with Hydrocele. On Helpster's approval, he was admitted and surgical correction done successfully. After recovery, he was discharged home, no longer having swelling or pains. He was very happy as he can resume his usual life and was grateful to Helpster Charity.

The persistent presence of a hydrocele can cause ongoing discomfort, heaviness, or a feeling of fullness in the scrotum. Although hydroceles are not typically associated with infections, untreated ones may become prone to infections, which can result in pain and complications. Larger hydroceles can interfere with activities like walking or participating in sports due to the added weight and size of the swollen scrotum. Surgical removal of the hydrocele sac is the most effective and permanent treatment for hydrocele. It is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local or general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a small incision in the scrotum, drains the fluid, and removes the sac.
