Doris is a 2-year-old who lives with her parents. She is shy and afraid of strangers, becoming quiet when left with unfamiliar people. She enjoys playing with her dolls and cartoon toys, and she loves drinking fresh milk with cakes. Recently, Doris's mother brought her to the hospital because Doris had been experiencing swelling around her umbilical region for the past two years. This swelling appeared on and off, especially when she coughed, cried, or laughed. Over the past two months, the swelling had become very tender and took longer to reduce, causing Doris discomfort and irritability due to the pain. She needs surgery to repair the hernia to prevent the risk of abdominal contents getting trapped.

Doris is 2 years old girl. She was diagnosed with umbilical hernia, Doris spent two days in the hospital, she given antibiotics for prophylaxis and pain relief drugs to control pain in the surgical area. Mother reports no pain or discomfort after treatment and the child is now able to get back to her school activities without or discomfort. Mother was very happy and grateful to Helpster charity for considering her request in the daughter's medical condition.

If left untreated, umbilical hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for umbilical hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
