Background
Ishaku Sani is an eleven-year-old boy living in a dilapidated house with his parents and relatives. He enjoys playing football every day and dreams of becoming a teacher. He seemed healthy until three months ago when he began to notice a swelling on the right side of his neck, which has since increased in size. Upon presentation at our facility, the neck swelling was examined, investigated, and diagnosed as lymphoma. He urgently needs treatment.
Medical history
Ishaku Sani is an 11-year-old boy was diagnosed with lymphoma and admitted for surgery. The mass was a progressive neck swelling with difficulty swallowing with pains. He was admitted and treated for Lymphoma. He was discharged home with the parents.
Outcome
The prognosis and outcome of lymphoma vary significantly depending on several factors, including the type and stage of the disease, patient age, overall health, and response to treatment. Advances in treatment have significantly improved outcomes, leading to high survival rates, especially for Hodgkin Lymphoma and certain types of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Regular follow-up care is essential for managing long-term effects and ensuring the best possible quality of life for survivors.
