Ebunife O., 1

Ebunife is the second child in his family, living with his mother, father, and sibling in a one-room rented apartment. His mother is a petty trader selling sweets and biscuits at a nearby school, while his father is a primary school teacher. Six months ago, Ebunife developed a swelling on the right side of his groin, which has been gradually increasing in size and causing occasional pain. Upon visiting our facility, he was examined and diagnosed with a right inguinoscrotal hernia. He requires surgery to correct the hernia.

Ebunife was admitted on account of Inguinal hernia, a swelling that has been disturbing the child and causing some discomfort. Surgery was performed successfully on the hernia and the child stayed on admission till recovered. Then was discharged home feeling much better, the inguinal swelling had disappeared, and the child was clinically stable. The parent was grateful to Helpster Charity and quite happy.

If left untreated, inguinal hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for inguinal hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
