Fahad is the first child of his parents. He was born with birth asphyxia. Fahad lives with his parents, grandparents. His father is the only breadwinner who works at garments workers. His mother is a housewife. The treatment in a government hospital didn't help much. For the last three days Fahad was suffering from cough and cold but this time he was diagnosed with Severe Pneumonia with complaints of cough and cold, severe respiratory distress and high fever.

Fahad, a 16-day-old baby, was struggling for breath. His small frame was racked with the relentless grip of severe pneumonia. Despite his parents’ desperate attempts to ease his suffering with antibiotics from a local pharmacy and treatments from a government hospital, Fahad's condition continued to deteriorate. With worry etched on their faces, his parents knew it was time for emergency hospitalization. Upon arriving at the hospital, the gravity of the situation became apparent. Fahad was immediately placed on oxygen therapy, fighting with every breath. As the medical team worked tirelessly, he was treated with nebulization using ipratropium bromide and budesonide, in addition to injectable antibiotics and hydrocortisone to combat the seriousness of his condition. Days stretched endlessly as Fahad battled through the haze of illness, but the dedicated care he received began to turn the tide. Slowly but surely, he started to show signs of improvement. Now, triumphant and relieved, Fahad is back home, cradled in the loving arms of his parents. Their faces, once clouded with fear, now glow with smiles of gratitude and joy. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who helped our little boy recover!" they exclaimed, overwhelmed with relief and appreciation.

Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
