Background

Kazeem Mariam is an orphan girl that was just trying to make ends meet before she got pregnant for a vulcanizer. The husband daily income is a thousand Naira just to feed for that day alone. She was rushed in to our facility as an emergency on the 17th of April 2024, on account of obstructed labor with Fetal distress, she was rushed in to the theatre for us to safe the life of the unborn child and the mother. Since delivery, the family has been stuck in the hospital unable to pay the delivery fee. Upon partnering with Helpster, she heard of the program and begged that Helpster should come to her aid.

Medical history

KAZEEM MARIAM WAS RUSHED INTO THE FACILITY ON ACCOUNT OF OBSTRUCTED LABOUR ASSOCIATED WITH FETAL DISTRESS EMERGENCY CAESEREAN SECTION WAS DONE. SHE RECOPORATE VERY FAST FOR THREE DAYS ON ADMISSION AND SHE WAS DISCHARGEON THE FIVETH DAY.

Outcome

IF EMERGENCY CESAREAN SECTION IS NOT CONDUCTED, IT POSES GREAT DANGER TO THE LIFE OF THE BABY AND ALSO THE MOTHER AS SHE HAS BEEN IN LABOUR SINCE ABOUT 24 HOURS AT A CLINIC WITH ASSOCIATED DRAINAGE OF LIQUOR YESTERDAY, ALSO NO ABDOMINAL WAS DONE ON THE INDEX PREGNANCY BEFORE PRESENTATION AND THERE IS POSITIVE HISTORY OF PERENATAL MORTALITY.
