Background

Abdullahi Abdul Kadir is a 10-year-old boy in primary 5 pupil with ambition to become a Nurse in their community he like playing football together with his counterparts he has a good character. This patient was diagnosed with seizure disorder when he was 5 years, he was on anti-convulsant he started having fever which was high grade intermittent that relief by taking paracetamol, there was vomiting and diarrhea associated with skin rashes, patient was given several medications at home but no improvement. Currently, he is ill looking febrile pale dehydrated with multiple papular rash involving the entire trunk.

Medical history

Abdullahi was admitted in our facility and managed as a case of Sepsis with febrile convulsion on Background epilepsy. He had his complete dosages of IV medications and other supportive care. He responded very well to the treatment as evidenced by resolving of the presenting symptoms. He was later discharged home to complete his recovery. Outcome

This patient is critically ill, he needs an urgent admission and treatment. The prognosis is good because they presented at early stage of the disease but if it is not addressed on time it may lead to permanent brain damage and subsequently mortality
