Loresh is a very active child who is ever joyous and is rarely sad. He dislikes injections and his mood changes whenever he sees anyone in a white coat. Loresh has been unwell for quite some time. He has a fever that does not seem to subside even when given pyretic medication, and usually appears quite pale. On a few occasions, the fever has been so bad it led to convulsions and a brief loss of consciousness. His mother had taken him to the local dispensaries but there has been no much improvement, and she was advised to take the child to a higher level hospital

The child came to the hospital with a fever and had experienced a convulsion. The doctors did some tests, including checking for malaria, blood levels, and whether the child had sickle cell disease. The results showed that the child did not have malaria and had normal genes (AA), meaning no sickle cell. The child was then given the following medicine to help with the illness: Montiget sachet to help with any breathing or allergy-related symptoms Azicure syrup (Azithromycin), an antibiotic, to be taken once a day for 3 to 5 days Parol syrup, a pain and fever reliever, to be taken three times a da The treatment aimed to manage the fever, prevent infection, and the child has completely healed

Many fevers of unknown origin are impossible to diagnose, and they can resolve without treatment. Nevertheless, a fever lasting three weeks or more can indicate a serious health issue.
