Maryam Adamu is 18 years old, a recent graduate from Ramat Polytechnic in Maiduguri, was filled with a sense of accomplishment and optimism as she stepped out into the world. She had majored in agriculture, a field she had always been passionate about. Maryam's journey through school was marked by determination and hard work, fueled by her dreams of using technology to improve her community. Lately, Maryam hadn't been feeling like herself. It started with a persistent fever that wouldn't break, accompanied by a splitting headache that seemed to cloud her thoughts. Concerned, Maryam visited a local clinic where the doctor noted her symptoms of fever, headache, and cough. However, what alarmed Maryam the most was the sudden sharp, burning sensation in her upper abdomen that seemed to intensify after meals.

Fatima was admitted to NakOWA Hospital with symptoms of high fever, abdominal pain, and frequent urination. After diagnosis, she was found to be suffering from malaria, enteric fever, and a urinary tract infection (UTI). With the support of Helpster Charity, all her treatment expenses were fully covered. She received the necessary medications and care, and her condition improved steadily. Fatima has now fully recovered and returned home in stable health. Her family is grateful for the support that made her treatment possible

Mariam is experiencing illness which could cause potentially life-threatening complications such as dehydration, organ failure, and in severe cases, death. Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) can lead to respiratory distress, pneumonia, and if left untreated, respiratory failure. Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) involves open sores in the stomach or upper intestine, causing intense abdominal pain, internal bleeding, and in severe cases, perforation leading to life-threatening infections like peritonitis. Each condition requires urgent medical attention and appropriate treatment to prevent serious health consequences and ensure recovery.
