Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Damaturu, Yobe State, 6 Gujba Road, Nigeria
Background
Fatima is a 30-year old, bold and unreserved woman who does not take nonsense from anyone though she is very friendly. She likes traditional dancing and envision becoming the best dancer in their community. She was well until 6 days before the Helpster medical outreach in their camp when she started having fever, painful urination and lower abdominal pain. Since the onset of her symptoms, she has taken herbal concoctions but there has not been any improvement. After being evaluated during the outreach she was referred to this facility for treatment. She was diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infection in a pregnant woman.
Medical history
Fatima, a 30-year-old multigravida was admitted in our facility where she was managed as a case of UTI in pregnancy. She received her full course of her IV antibiotics and other medication. She responded well to the treatment as evidenced by resolving of her symptoms. She was then discharged home on oral medications when the condition improved to continue her antenatal care. She expressed her gratefulness to the helpster donors.
Outcome
With prompt antibiotic treatment, a urinary tract infection (UTI) during pregnancy can be effectively managed, ensuring a healthy birth and normal development for the baby. However, if left untreated, UTIs can increase the risk of preterm birth, low birth weight, and long-term health issues for the child. Timely medical attention is crucial to prevent these complications and safeguard the baby's health.
