Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

YOBE STATE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL DAMATURU
Damaturu, Yobe State, 6 Gujba Road, Nigeria
Background
He is a one-year old child, always crying. He was well until 2 days before the presentation when he started having a cough, fever and difficulty breathing. He was not given any medications as the family could not afford to buy any medicines. Upon hearing about the medical outreach by Helpster Charity in their camp, the mother brought out the child for treatment and he was referred to the specialist hospital for admission.
Medical history
Muhammad was admitted in our facility and managed as a case of severe bronchopneumonia. He have a complete course of IV medications. He responded well to treatment with the presenting symptoms subsiding. He was later discharged home on oral medications to complete his recovery process. Parents were so happy with helpster for helping them.
Outcome
With prompt medical attention and proper treatment, the child is expected to make a full recovery and return to normal life, although close monitoring is necessary to prevent potential long-term lung damage. If left untreated, severe bronchopneumonia can lead to life-threatening complications, such as respiratory failure, septic shock, and even death. Delayed or inadequate treatment can also result in chronic lung problems, developmental delays and sudden death.
