Abasiya is the youngest of three children in her family. She is a bright and curious child, always eager to learn from her older siblings. Living with her parents, Abasiya brings joy to the home with her laughter and playful nature. Though still small, she shows signs of being thoughtful and caring, often following her siblings around and asking questions. One rainy evening, little Abasiya Hashimu began coughing nonstop. Her breathing became fast and noisy, and she had a high fever. At first, her mother thought it was just a cold, but Abasiya became weak and refused to eat. The parent couldn't afford to give Abasiya proper medical care. On presentation, the child was evaluated and diagnosed with Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and Malaria. She requires urgent medical treatment.

Abasiya was treated at Albisbir Hospital for Malaria and Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) with support from Helpster Charity. She received antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and supportive care. Her health improved quickly, and she made a full recovery.

When malaria and lower respiratory tract infection happen at the same time, the illness can be serious, especially in young children. With early diagnosis and proper treatment, most children can recover fully. However, if care is delayed, it may lead to complications like breathing problems or organ failure. Quick medical attention greatly improves the chances of survival and full recovery.
