Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Faith is a three-year-old girl who was born into an abandoned and needy household. After her mother left, her grandmother took on the responsibility of caring for her and her younger brother. They reside near a dumping site. Faith is a quiet and polite child who enjoys smiling and running around. Since birth, Faith has struggled with eye problems, and for the past three months, she has also suffered from itchy skin rashes. Additionally, she has experienced intermittent fever and coughing over the past month. Despite receiving home treatment, her condition did not improve. A Community Health Worker intervened and brought her to the hospital. After a thorough examination and necessary investigations, she received treatment and medication and was subsequently discharged to continue her recovery at home.

Medical history

Faith presented to the hospital with discomfort in the eyes. She had also had episodes of coughing and rashes on her skin. Tests revealed she was suffering from conjunctivitis, gastroenteritis, and malaria. She was treated in the outpatient department and discharged with oral medications to take at home. Her grandmother during an interaction with a nurse from the hospital, revealed that Faith was doing okay, and was no longer rubbing her eyes as before, and she was no longer coughing.

Outcome

The prognosis is good. Faith was given the best care
