Malam Umar, a renowned Islamic scholar, recently brought to our attention a remarkable 10-year-old student. This young boy has been studying the Quran at Malam Umar's Islamic school for the past two years, where he has developed a passion for reciting the holy Quran. In addition to his love for Quranic recitation, Child is also an avid football player. His parents enrolled him in the Islamic school three years ago, where he has been thriving under Malam Umar's guidance. A 10-year-old boy from Islamic school which is (sangaya)was brought in this morning with the complaints of intense cough attacks associated with vomiting, fever, anorexia and diarrhea. The illness started barely, 3 days ago and the condition got worst this morning. He was examined, investigated and diagnosed with pertusis complicated by acute plasmodiasis. Treatment commenced immediately.

A 10-year-old patient was admitted with symptoms of fever, vomiting, headache, and general weakness. After examination and investigation, the patient was diagnosed with acute malaria. Treatment started on 19 may, 2025, included antimalarial medication, intravenous fluids, multivitamins, and antipyretics. The patient showed significant improvement and was discharged on may 21, 2025, as symptoms subsided. The parent was educated on preventive measures, including the use of long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets and maintaining a clean environment to reduce the risk of malaria.

Severe malaria occurs when infections are complicated by serious organ failures or abnormalities in the patient's blood or metabolism.
