Mohd is an 8-years-old child of a farmer who lives below poverty line. He hardly earns money to feed the family. The boy is a joyful and likes making new friends. He has dream to become an entrepreneur to empower the poor. Three 3 years after birth, he developed right scrotal swelling and his mother took him to the hospital for treatment and he was diagnosed with Hernia, but they do not have sufficient fund to subscribe for the surgery. Recently, the swelling was becoming bigger, associated with pains in the scrotum. He was proposed for surgery upon approval by HELPSTER CHARITY.

Mohd a 4-year-old male, presented with a 1-year history of reducible right inguinoscrotal swelling, occasionally accompanied by pain and mild obstruction. After thorough evaluation, he was diagnosed with right inguinoscrotal hernia. He underwent successful hernial repair surgery without immediate complications. Following a 3-day hospital stay for close monitoring and post-operative care, mohd recovered well and was discharged home with a scheduled follow-up appointment for 1 week. He has since fully recovered and resumed regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

If right untreated, inguinal hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for inguinal hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
