Bello I., 7

Bello is a 7 year old boy. He is currently attending a government primary school, where he works hard and shows great enthusiasm for learning. Despite the challenges that come with growing up in a large family, Bello remains focused on his education and dreams of becoming a medical doctor. He hopes to one day use his knowledge and skills to help others and make a positive impact in his community. Bello’s determination and ambition inspire those around him as he takes steps toward a brighter future. Bello started feeling weak, with frequent stomach pain, persistent fever, and bouts of diarrhea. He also became tired easily and struggled to keep up with school. Living in a challenging environment with limited access to clean water and proper sanitation, Bello was infected and fall sick. His family, worried and unable to afford treatment, sought help from Helpster Charity. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Helminthiasis, Malaria, and Enteric Fever.

After falling seriously ill with stomach pain, fever, and weakness, Bello struggled to keep up with school and daily life. His family, worried and without enough money for treatment, turned to Helpster Charity for support. Thanks to Helpster Charity, Bello was evaluated and investigated in the hospital and diagnosed with Enteric fever, Malaria and Helminthiasis. He was admitted and had antibiotics and antimalarials injections in the hospital for 3 days. Slowly, he recovered, symptoms subsided, and he regained his strength. He was discharged home with his parents, and he can enjoy his childhood and return to school. Bello and his family are deeply thankful to Helpster Charity for their kindness and timely help that gave him a second chance at health and hope.

With timely and proper treatment, the prognosis for helminthiasis, enteric fever, and malaria is generally good. Most patients recover fully when given the right medications and care. Untreated, these illnesses can lead to serious complications like severe infection, organ damage, or chronic health issues. Early medical intervention and good hygiene are key to a full recovery and preventing recurrence.
