Hussaina is an 8-year-old daughter of a peasant farmer who is extroverted. She likes playing around with her peers. In the future she aspires to become a nurse so that she can take her family out of poverty. She was feeling well, until sometime around March 2025 barely fifteen (3) months ago, she started experiencing pain while urinating with preceding history of oliguria, bilateral flank pain and lower back pain. She got some relief when she takes pain killer medication. She was examined in UMD Medical Clinic and diagnosed with kidney stone and was planned for surgery upon approval by Helpster charity.

Hussaina ali, a 8-year-old female, was referred to our facility with a right kidney stone. After thorough evaluation and investigation, she underwent elective left nephrolithotomy. The surgery was successful without immediate complications. Due to the nature of her condition, she was admitted for 5 days for close monitoring and treatment. The patient recovered well and was discharged home after 5 days, with follow-up care scheduled for 1 week. Currently, the child is doing well, has recovered, and has resumed regular activities at home.

Larger stones might require more extensive treatment like using sound waves to break up the stone (lithotripsy), surgery to remove very large stones, or using a scope passed through the bladder to remove smaller stone.If left untreated,kidney stone can move to the ureter and cause obstruction,Hydronephrosis and even permanent kidney damage.
