Olaniyi Omolola is the first child in a family of 7. Her father struggles to make ends meet as a tailor, earning about ₦30,000 monthly, while her mother ekes out a living as a trader, scraping together ₦20,000 each month. Despite their tireless efforts, the family's financial situation remains precarious, making everyday life a challenge. The patient was presented to our hospital with a 6-month history of intermittent abdominal pain, which worsened recently, accompanied with fever and vomiting, after investigation was done she was diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis, requiring immediate surgical intervention.
