Hussaini Lawal is an infant. He is a twin. His twin sister her is called Hassana. He lives with his er mother ( a housewife) and his Father ( a roadside motorcycle mechanic) and other three siblings. Together, they all live in a single room at Angwan Madaki, Uke, Nasarawa State. The monthly income of the family is around 40,000. None of Hussaini's siblings of school age is in school. He became ill with twin sister on the same day and manifested similar symptoms. Hussaini Lawal is a seven months old (a twin) baby who was brought to clinic by his mother. The mother complained of some intermittent basic symptoms of Malaria which she tried to curb by administering PCM at home. However, the baby's inability to eat, weakness of the body and high body temperature became more severe and persistent that was why she had to run to the hospital. After running some tests, the baby was diagnosed with Typhoid and Severe Malaria. He was admitted, treated and has recovered well and has since been discharged.

Upon the diagnosis of typhoid fever and severe malaria, the child was admitted and placed under IV medication and treatment associated with close monitoring to see his progress and observe him further. His response to treatment was excellent and recovery too. Follow up checks was scheduled after discharge. Infant is in good shape and has fully recovered. Hussaini was discharged home with the parent and they were very happy and grateful to Helpster Charity.

We diagnosed the young 1-year old Lawal with Typhoid and Severe Malaria which is a severe infection for a small child and can lead to death, severe anemia, malnutrition, and many complications. Typhoid fever is one of the most deadliest infections. However, early detection and treatment with antibiotics is key to child's survival. Where left untreated, it becomes complicated and can lead to perforation of the intestines and this can be fatal to the child existence Severe Malaria can be deadly if not treated on time as studies has shown that it is one of the leading causes of child mortality especially in Africa.
