Bushra Khatun is a gentle five-month-old baby who lives with her parents and elder brother in a small family struggling to make ends meet. Her father lost his hand in an accident and now works as a day laborer with very limited income, which is barely enough to cover daily expenses, leaving no savings for emergency hospital care. After suffering from high fever, cough, and serious breathing difficulty for several days, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia at Jamuna Clinic. Watching their little daughter fight to breathe has left her parents and brother frightened and helpless. If she does not receive proper and timely treatment, the infection may worsen rapidly and become life-threatening, which is why the family has once again sought support from Helpster Charity through Bablu Abdullah.

Bushra Khatun was admitted to the hospital on February 08, 2026, suffering from a high fever, persistent cough, and breathlessness. After a thorough medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. She received six days of dedicated treatment, during which her condition improved significantly. On February 14, 2026, she was discharged in good health. Throughout her hospital stay, Bushra was accompanied by her mother and grandmother, who were also present at the time of discharge. Her grandmother expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their compassionate care and dedicated support. Her mother was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster, emphasizing that it played a vital role in ensuring Bushra received timely and appropriate medical treatment.

The doctor has advised immediate hospitalization with intravenous antibiotics, nebulization, and supportive care to treat Bushra’s severe pneumonia. With timely and proper treatment, the lung infection can be controlled, her breathing will gradually improve, and she is expected to recover and return to normal growth and development. Close monitoring in the hospital will help ensure that any complications are managed quickly and effectively. However, if left untreated, the infection may worsen rapidly, leading to severe breathing failure or spread of infection throughout the body. In such a young infant, these complications can become life-threatening, making urgent medical care essential for her survival and recovery.
