Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Bichitra Rani is a bright and determined 14-year-old student of class eight who lives with her parents and younger brother in a modest rural home. Her father is a poor farmer whose limited and uncertain income is barely enough to cover food and educational expenses, leaving no savings for the specialized treatment she now requires. For years, Bichitra has suffered from persistent ear pain, nasal blockage, throat discomfort, and hearing problems, yet she continues to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. Recently, her condition has worsened significantly, affecting her hearing and daily activities. If left untreated, the ongoing infections may lead to permanent hearing loss and, in severe cases, serious complications such as spreading infection that can become life-threatening, which is why her family sought support from Helpster Charity after learning about it through Rafiq and Bablu Abdullah.

Medical history

Bichitra Rani was admitted to the hospital on April 24, 2026, with adeno-tonsillitis, DNS (Deviated Nasal Septum), HIT, and OME (Otitis Media with Effusion). She underwent surgery on the same day. After two days of post-operative care, she was discharged in good health. Both her mother and father came to the hospital to receive her upon discharge. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, Jumuna Clinic, and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her father was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster, which greatly helped during this time. Her second Operation was conducted on June, 26, 2026. The following day, she was discharged in good health. Her father expressed his gratitude again to Helpster.

Outcome

The doctors have advised a staged surgical plan, beginning with adenotonsillectomy and myringotomy to remove the infected tonsils and adenoids and drain the fluid from her middle ear, which will help relieve throat pain and improve her hearing. After recovery, septoplasty with turbinoplasty will be performed to correct the nasal blockage and improve her breathing. With timely treatment, Bichitra is expected to experience significant relief from repeated infections, breathe normally, hear clearly in class, and return to her studies with renewed confidence. However, if left untreated, her hearing loss may become permanent, and the persistent infections could spread to nearby areas, leading to serious complications. In severe cases, untreated infections can become life-threatening and may greatly affect her overall health and future.
